Fingerpress news updates

We're an indie publisher of historical novels and science fiction.

After a year in development, Virtual Reality (VR) books website Inkflash.com (brought to you by Fingerpress) has just opened for business. It’s like the love child of Goodreads and Wordpress, with an engaging 3D VR interface; and it all runs in a web browser, without requiring additional software.

London Book Fair, April 2013We'll be on the IPG stand at this year's London Book Fair (15-17 April), where we'll be exhibiting our latest book releases - including Fredrik Nath's new wartime blockbuster The Fat Chef, and of course his Roman 'Galdir' trilogy.

Logos Hope is a floating book fair, bringing books to remote locations. It carries over 5,000 titles and welcomes over a million visitors on board every year. For many visitors it represents their first-ever opportunity to purchase a wide range of good quality books at cheaper prices.

Finnish author Heikki Hietala's breathtaking novel of aerial combat over the South Pacific is now available to buy on Kindle, with the paperback edition following hot on its tail.

We have 10 signed copies of Fredrik Nath's 2010 debut World War II novel The Cyclist available at £5 each (plus shipping). If you'd like a copy, please email: michelle@fingerpress.co.uk

with your name & address, and we'll reply with PayPal details.

That is all!

We've transformed and extended our driving tour of the Big Island of Hawaii into a full-colour ebook (where colour's available on supported devices, of course), with additional high-resolution photos and all-new content, including an Explore Moresection containing handy info and links for further exploration.

Here's our first Walkabout mini-guide on Kindle: a London walking guide designed to take in the sights between Victoria Station and the Tower of London.

This ebook started out as a guide article on Fingerpress Travel, and has been extended with more details, photos and an "Explore More" section, all formatted for Kindle (and Kindle iPhone/Android app) screens.

If you enjoy reading about other peoples' travel adventures - or writing about your own - then check out our new website Fingerpress Travel.

A new Travel Website, and a writing competition

Here as promised are some photos from the Fingerpress multi-author book reading from this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Susie Pilkington-Wood reads two scenes from her supernatural fantasy Colandra's Quest. The book isn't due for release until later this year; however the attendees at the event were lucky enough to receive a strictly limited-edition pre-release copy of the book:
